I saw this map on the Washington Post website, who knew you could measure a country not only by its GDP, but also its Gross Emotional Passion (GEP)!
It looks like the Philippines takes the top spot, with the the Western Hemisphere are close behind. Singapore comes in a very stoic last place, with Africa, the Middle East, and former Soviet Union also at the latter end of the spectrum. If I were to draw a very unscientific conclusion, I’d generalize that people in the New World and outlaying islands (sans Japan) are more willing to express themselves. Perhaps migration makes people more passionate?
